Nice article about how susceptible we can be to rumors.

And heres a small profile of snopes.com, who somehow became the most respected rumor-demongoror

Problem Solving

I think I've figured it out. I have several problems - not gonna go into all of them here, of course, but heres a couple: I have a ton of bookmarks that I have no inclination to organize. I've got a lot of random pictures piled up in iPhoto. And I've got a blog I don't know what to do with.

Combining problems sometimes leads to solutions.

So starting soon, expect to see random but categorized updates regarding goofy stuff I've found on the web, as well as a delightful picture or two, updated oftenly.

And new words, too. Like "oftenly".

What am I gonna do with this? Tumblr is not what I thought it would be, Twitter seems pointless, and Facebook is getting old.

The Playset

The idea was to turn this run down playset in our backyard into Darth Vader's spaceship. Jake and Max had no idea what Darth Vaders spaceship looked like, so it was off to Planet Google to see what we could find...

It All Started with Darth Vader

Jake and Max (but mostly Jake) became fascinated with Darth Vader a few months ago. He has peppered me with questions about him: Can he fly? Does he have a gun? Is he mean to to the good guys? And if he is, is he good to the bad guys? Does he have a spaceship? Is he a robot?

On and on and on. They havent seen Star Wars yet- but they will soon, I can tell. I told them they can watch the beginning of it (up until the Cantina scene, probably).

Anyway, not too long ago, Jake and me formed an idea...

Im beginning to figure it out

I started this blog when I was in Bucharest, working on "Mirrors". I didnt mention the movie at all, because the producers wouldve had me on the first plane outta there. So it was just my non-movie-set coverage of Bucharest, which made it kind of dull, but it was still better than a Flickr slideshow.

Now, here it is, 2 years later. Im not in Bucharest - my life as a mild-mannered suburban dad will be covered next...
